A true titan of yesteryear, the Kramer Pacer Deluxe is a refresh on Kramer's flagship Pacer model. An icon of '80s rock in any capacity, today's Kramer Pacer Deluxe touches down to bring things to the next level.
The Pacer enters a new phase with a real red carpet treatment. Kicking this off, the Pacer Deluxe starts with an alder double-cutaway body fitted with smooth body contours. This Kramer classic is built for speed to enable its players' fastest riffage. A satin-finished thermally aged maple neck enters at this point with a walnut skunk stripe and a Modern Elliptical C profile. Ideal for quick travels from the lowest registers to the highest, the Pacer Deluxe comes built with Kramer's new KeyLock System that enhances neck stability alongside its five-bolt neck-to-body joint as it prevents movement in the neck pocket to increase vibrational tone transfer, sustain, and intonation.
With such a focus on stability, playability is made a priority with the Pacer Deluxe's compound fingerboard radius and Medium Jumbo frets. Measuring at ten inches near the headstock and flattening towards the body, Kramer's metal-minded design makes for easy fretting, chording, and soloing – you know, your speed metal staples. When it comes to plugging in, Kramer went ahead to fit the Pacer Deluxe with three Kramer USA pickups. Two Kramer USA Triton Noiseless single-coil pickups align with high-end sparkle alongside a Kramer USA Golden Classic humbucking that deliver the heavy punch you need for high-gain tonality.
Wrapping all of this up, Kramer's Pacer Deluxe features a solid hardware setup. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo bridge lands at the base of the scale with a matching Floyd Rose R2 nut at the opposite end. With this classic, high-octane feature, the Pacer Deluxe enables deep vibrato bends and sustained stability. Mini die cast tuning machines match to ensure solid tuning past the headstock. This Kramer travels with an included premium gig bag.
This Kramer Pacer Deluxe, while not a direct reissue, captures so much of what makes original Pacers so exceptional and compelling for guitarists for all these years.
