It is historically accurate, with its unbalanced coils wound with 42 AWG wire.

This, the Custombucker Underwound, has fewer windings on the bobbins, resulting in more clearly defined overtones and harmonics.

The Custombucker Underwound can be used in any position, although it has a brighter tone in the neck/rhythm position, making for a perfect paring with a standard Custombucker in the bridge/treble position.
