Black Walnut Block BW444x 4.7" x 4.7" x 6" 3.2 lbs. This is an outstanding end-grain Black Walnut block. It is all heartwood that's been air-dried to maintain the natural coloration. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker-brown grain. Air-dried Black Walnut is so much prettier than kiln-dried, and these pieces have nice color depth. This block has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. This piece has been planed on four sides (S4S) but may still have some rough patches or minor surface imperfections. A few of these have minor cracks (either an end-grain check or small open cracks in a knot) that you can fill with CA glue if needed. We carry multiples of this size block, so the one you receive may not be the one in the photos but it will be of similar character and quality. |

Better value & quality
I was using the Paula’s brand but stopped ordering because the price kept going up. This came up in my search and it’s almost the same except it has a stronger concentration & has a few more added benefits. It’s also about half the price.
