The present dominant color is the classic golden yellow of moderately fresh Bodark heartwood, with a prominent wedge of beige sapwood the length of one edge. The heartwood includes intragrain bands and areas of reddish brown spalting stripe down the sides. These strong colors will darken to an even more attractive, dark reddish brown to golden brown

This is a very nice, end-grain block of Texas Bodark. The heartwood includes intragrain bands and areas of reddish-brown spalting stripe down the sides. These strong colors will darken to an even more attractive, dark reddish-brown to golden-brown with time.
There are several very thin drying checks on the upper end of this block (bottom photo and, if you look carefully, on the left side, upper end of the block on the top photo). These do extend down approximately 3/4" from the upper end. They are very tight, and I suspect stable. I would simply reinforce them with thin CA glue before turning. I see no other cracks, checks or significant flaws.

Nice n Robust

I’ve been buying these spoons for at least 5 years. They were the best before, and they are the BEST now. Other companies on Amazon sell similar spoons for a much cheaper price. They assert that their spoons are “heavyweight” spoons. Whoever, when you try to use their spoons to get yogurt out from the container, they fold like paper. These companies should be banned from Amazon.

Convenient.

Bought this product so many times over. Keep them stocked for special occasions as well as casual BBQ with friends. I use them to take as a hostess gift at other BBQ's, because everyone can use them. They do not bend like the other brands. The tray with the snap-on lid makes it easy use then store away.
