This PRS S2 Standard 22 Electric Guitar is made to serve as the ultimate workhorse instrument for both stage and studio, the S2 Standard 22 offers a blend of traditional tonewoods, innovative electronics, and ergonomic design.
The S2 22 Standard boasts a body made from solid select mahogany, loved for its inherent warmth and sustain, and commonly used in Les Paul models. Its distinctive asymmetric bevel top carve creates a comfortable shape to be held and a unique design that stands out from similar looking instruments.
With a scale length of 25 inches and a total of 22 frets, the mahogany neck of the S2 Standard 22 uses scarfing to join its headstock, and inside the neck a PRS Double-Acting truss rod allows for adjustments with ease, with access through the headstock. The neck is cut to PRS' own Pattern Regular neck profile, and boasts a 10-inch radius, rosewood fretboard topped with classic dot inlays, a departure from the more commonly used PRS bird inlays commonly found on newer PRS models.
This guitar comes stocked with PRS 58/15 "S" humbucking pickups. These pups deliver a diverse range, from sparkling highs to robust mids. The inclusion of a push/pull tone control expands this instrument's palette further, by enabling coil tapping and getting the most from the pickups. The pickups are controlled via a volume knob with a 3-way blade pickup switch.
In the hardware department, a PRS patented tremolo bridge and low mass locking tuners offer help out with intonation, and all the hardware is finished in chrome.
This instrument comes with a matching PRS gig bag.
