The rediscovery of the music of David Axelrod in the 1990s was a revelation to the scores of hip-hop and breakbeat DJs that sampled him, but his composition genius was on display as early as the 1960s. After producing and arranging major critical and commercial hits for Lou Rawls, The Electric Prunes, David McCallum, and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, he was encouraged by Capitol Records to record and produce solo material. Coming right on the heels of The Beatles' revolutionary 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, Axelrod would produce a slew of instrumental baroque pop records, which were intricately orchestrated, fused elements of jazz, psychedelic rock, chamber music, and neo-classical, and tackled issues of mental enlightenment, environmental impact, and would be hailed by critics as highly ambitious pieces of conceptual art.The albums Song Of Innocence (1968), Songs Of Experience (1969), and Earth Rot (1970) are most often hailed as David Axelrod's finest moments, but little is mentioned of the producer's 1970s material. Among these records is Seriously Deep, his lone album recorded for Polydor, and an unheralded gem of jazz-rock fusion. On Seriously Deep, Axelrod dispenses with the heavily orchestrated measures of previous works to conduct a powerhouse crew of session musicians, including Leon Ndugu Chancler of Santana on drums, Mailto Correa on percussion, Jim Hughart on bass, Joe Sample on electric keys, and many others, with production from frequent Axelrod collaborators Cannonball Adderley and Jimmy Bowen.
Seriously Deep is an obscure release, but also one of David Axlerod's tightest, and most exploratory ones. Across six tracks, Axelrod and his collective of players dip in and out of bounding jazz-funk, Afro-Latin grooves, cinematic flourishes, psychedelic synth washes, and blaring big band horns. It's a singularly insular curiosity of musical impressionism that's equal parts brooding and joyous, a definitive part of Axelrod's discography, and a well of sample material for tracks by Mobb Deep, Large Professor, The Black Eyed Peas, and Beanie Siegel, among others.

Nice Umbrella for the Price
Size: 9ft, Color: Red
Truly surprised at the quality of this umbrella. Great deal for the price. I did see some reviews prior to buying that there were issues with the tilting mechanism/crank so I am giving it a 4 until I have it for more than a few days to see how it all works out.

Honestly impressed would recommend

I’m honestly really impressed with this patio umbrella! It’s lightweight enough that it was easy to move and set up, but it still feels sturdy and stable once in place. The fabric material feels much nicer than the cheap plastic-like material some outdoor umbrellas use — it looks clean, durable, and gives really good shade.
The color is beautiful and works perfectly with outdoor spaces without looking harsh or too bright. It opens smoothly, provides a large amount of coverage, and has held up great in the sun and wind so far.
Definitely a thumbs up from me — great quality for the price and makes the whole patio area feel more relaxing and put together! ☀️👍

Brightens up the whole patio!
Size: 9ft, Color: Apple Green
I am so happy with this umbrella! The "Apple Green" color is gorgeous—it’s super vibrant and really makes my backyard feel more tropical and fun.
The crank is smooth and easy to use, so I don’t have to struggle to get it open, and the push-button tilt is a total lifesaver when the sun starts to dip in the afternoon. It feels much sturdier than the one I replaced; the ribs seem solid and it hasn't budged during our usual afternoon breezes.
It provides a ton of shade for our table, and you can tell the fabric is thick enough to actually block the heat. If you want a pop of color and a reliable umbrella that doesn't cost a fortune, this one is perfect!

Mostly well made…
Size: 9ft, Color: Dark Blue, Size: 9ft, Color: Dark Blue
The umbrella itself is made out of great fabric and the color is accurate to the photo. However, we’ve had it for less than a month and the piece that controls the angle of the umbrella has already broken off. It still works, but will always be at an angle now.
