At the heart of the Gibson Custom Shop's 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue lies a meticulous dedication to authenticity. This instrument is a testament to the intricate craftsmanship and technological precision, which brings an iconic era of music back to the hands of modern players.

Starting from the top, the guitar features a two-piece flamed maple, known for its distinctive grain and resonance. This is paired with a one-piece lightweight solid mahogany back and sides, offering a warm, sustained tonality. The neck, made of mahogany and complemented by an Indian rosewood fingerboard, carries the signature 50s rounded medium C profile, providing a comfortable and familiar feel.

Cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays grace the fingerboard, a material known for its visual appeal and vintage authenticity. The 24.75" scale length is a nod to the traditional Les Paul specifications, ensuring a playing experience true to its historic counterpart.

From an electronics perspective, the Custombucker Alnico III pickups, both unpotted at the bridge and neck, deliver a sound profile that's both rich and faithful to the original 1959 design. Paired with CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors, the guitar offers an unparalleled clarity and tonal range.

The instrument's finish is the Iced Tea Burst, applied with nitrocellulose lacquer, paired with a VOS treatment for a slightly aged appearance without the wear. Every aspect, from the Kluson Single Line, Single Ring tuning machines to the laminated cellulose acetate butyrate pickguard, jack plate cover, and mounting rings, showcases Gibson's commitment to detail.

Classic design and good sturdy quality
Color: Silver, Number of Items: 2
Let's just address the elephant in the room. My family says I am cheap, but I call it thrifty. Either way, I bought a couple of cork screws earlier that left like they would break at any moment when pushing down the arms, and after a few bottles, one arm did bend. So this time, i paid attention to the reviews and chose these cork screws as the review said they are solid quality. The review was correct. This design is pretty fool proof and easy for anyone to use. You do not need super human strength to pull the cork. Just remove the foil, screw the sharp coil into the cork until the arms have reached the top of their range, the place the bottle on a hard surface and push both arms down. Easy peasy. The bad openers I mentioned earlier did not have anything on the opener arms and the metal was thin. It did not provide a good feel. These cork screws have thicker arms and have a rubber grip on them which provides a much more comfortable operation. I would definitely recommend these cork screws for quality and value.

Good wine opener, not great
Color: Silver, Number of Items: 1
Definitely doesn’t feel as robust as other openers I’ve used. Takes a bit for the teeth to catch and you have to ensure it’s all the way in before pulling the cork out. Still gets the job done though

great addition to your wine collection

The wine opener works just fine. I had one like this before but it was difficult to get the cork out. This one is much easier and it also looks good as well. The handles add a nice touch.

I had had it with cheaply functioning wine bottle openers!
Color: Silver, Number of Items: 1
I like a manually functioning wine bottle opener. This one is smooth and easy to use and I didn't feel like I would cut my finger when removing the cork from the opener. Would definitely recommend!
