Château de Tracy Pouilly-Fumé 2023 0,375L is een halve fles droge witte Loire wijn van Sauvignon Blanc, afkomstig van oude stokken op de hellingen boven de Loire. Deze 2023 jaargang laat de klassieke kant van Pouilly-Fumé zien: fris, zuiver, mineraal en licht ziltig, met veel citrus, wit fruit en een subtiele rokerige spanning. De halve fles is ideaal wanneer je met 1 of 2 personen een verfijnde Sauvignon Blanc wilt drinken bij een aperitief, visgerecht of geitenkaas.

Wijngaarden en regio

Château de Tracy ligt in Tracy-sur-Loire, binnen de appellation Pouilly-Fumé in de Centre-Loire.

• Ligging / Herkomst: De wijngaarden liggen op hellingen boven de Loire, met een zuidwestelijke expositie. Die ligging helpt Sauvignon Blanc aan rijpheid, terwijl de nabijheid van de rivier frisheid en aromatische precisie ondersteunt.

• Bodem: De bodem bestaat uit vuursteen, Kimmeridgische mergel en kalksteen. Kalksteen en mergel geven volume en textuur, terwijl vuursteen zorgt voor diepte, mineraliteit en een delicate ziltigheid.

• Wijngaard & Leeftijd: De druiven worden geselecteerd uit oude stokken van gemiddeld 40–70 jaar. Die leeftijd draagt bij aan concentratie, lengte en een gelaagde expressie van Sauvignon Blanc.

• Wijnbouw: De wijngaard wordt biodynamisch beheerd, met aandacht voor de balans tussen bodem, wijnstok en ecosysteem. Dat sluit goed aan bij de precieze, terroirgerichte stijl van Château de Tracy.

Druivensamenstelling

Deze Pouilly-Fumé wordt volledig gemaakt van Sauvignon Blanc.

• Sauvignon Blanc – Pouilly-Fumé: Sauvignon Blanc geeft deze wijn zijn citrus, grapefruit, witte fruittonen, kruidige spanning en frisse zuren. Wat betekent Fumé? Fumé verwijst naar de rokerige, vuursteenachtige indruk die Pouilly-Fumé kan krijgen, vooral wanneer Sauvignon Blanc groeit op bodems met silex en kalkrijke lagen.

Vinificatie en rijping

De vinificatie is gericht op zuiverheid, frisheid en het behoud van de minerale signatuur van Pouilly-Fumé.

• Jaargang & Oogst: 2023 kende geen extreme hitte of droogte, met goede waterreserves na een koude en natte winter. Daardoor konden de druiven fris, gezond en gelijkmatig rijpen, met een zuivere minerale en licht ziltige expressie.

• Vergisting: De wijn wordt gevinifieerd in beton en roestvrijstaal. Roestvrijstaal bewaart de frisse Sauvignon Blanc aroma’s, terwijl beton extra rust, textuur en breedte aan de wijn kan geven.

• Analyse & Structuur: Met 13,09% alcohol, 4,84 g/l zuren en 0,85 g/l restsuiker blijft deze Pouilly-Fumé strak droog, fris en precies. Die combinatie ondersteunt de citrus, mineraliteit en gastronomische lengte.

Proefnotities en serveertips

In het glas is de wijn bleekgeel met licht gouden reflecties. De geur opent intens met buxus en verse grapefruit, gevolgd door wit fruit, kokos, witte perzik, witte peper, basilicum, mango en guave. De smaak is ruim, fris en mondwaterend, met grapefruit, yuzu, geroosterde tonen, citruszeste, ziltigheid en een lange exotische finale.

• Serveertemperatuur: Serveer deze Pouilly-Fumé op 10 °C, zodat de citrus, ziltigheid en minerale spanning mooi strak blijven.

• Gerechten: Mooi bij garnalensalade met avocado, kreeft, rivierkreeft, geitenkaas, gegrilde vis, schaal en schelpdieren en kalfsgebraad met sinaasappelsaus.

A better topper from a company I trust

I have a memory foam daybed that has seen better days. The top layer has started to shift from regular use, and I wanted something that would help hold it together. The Bedsure Twin Mattress Topper does exactly that and made a huge difference right away. This is a high quality, well constructed mattress pad. It fits securely over an extra thick mattress and stays in place. The corner bands under deep pockets are strong and keep everything aligned without slipping. The measurements are accurate. There are instructions to dry it, then leave it out to expand. There was no weird smell. What you see is exactly what you get, in a good way. The cushioning is even and comfortable, and the fabric feels thick and smooth. It adds structure while still improving comfort. It has a more premium look and function than expected, similar to what you would find in a Five-Star hotel. It feels expensive. I also appreciate that the color is not white. It looks cleaner over time and feels like a more practical choice. I have used several Bedsure products, and the quality has been consistent. I also like that it is a woman founded and owned brand, and they continue to improve their products.

adds a touch of comfort!

I ordered this mattress topper for our guest bedroom. It is soft and adds a little plushness to the existing mattress. I ordered the queen size for our queen size mattress. It fit well, without much overlap from the mattress topper. The topper has elastic corner bands as well as the fitted sheet like band around the edge, so the topper should stay in place. The color is black, as shown and if you use light colored sheets, it will likely show through. To combat this, I used a white mattress protector overtop of the pillow topper. You cannot see it through our protector and white sheets. The topper is more like a padded mattress protector than a true topper. It reminds me of a pillow top, it's not foam just filled to add softness to the mattress. I think it's a great addition, it adds a little height and comfort to the mattress. Overall, I think this is a nice upgrade to our guest room. It fits well, and serves its intended purpose. I would recommend to anyone wanting to improve the comfort of their mattress.

Try it but have lower expectations

Pros: -fairly heavy -fits right -soft enough to dream on -not too expensive Cons: -kinda lumpy feeling and that’s hard to shake -not the classiest wrap/attachment -a little stinky out of the box that can take a while to offgas or whatever It definitely upgrades a futon mattress, even if it doesn’t want to bend easily with it. It’s meant for a stationary mattress.

Feels Like Sleeping on a Cloud

Feels Like Sleeping on a Cloud — One of My Favorite Bedsure Products Yet

I’ve had really good experiences with Bedsure products over time, so whenever I get the chance to try another one I usually do, and this mattress topper definitely did not disappoint. This one went on my mom’s king size bed and the difference was noticeable immediately. The topper has a soft, cloud-like feel while still giving enough support underneath so you don’t just sink straight through it. It added a much more comfortable layer to the mattress and made the bed feel cozy and inviting without being overly heavy or hot. I also appreciated how easy it was to put on. The deep pocket design fit securely over the king mattress without struggling to stretch the corners, and once it was on, it stayed in place well through the night.
