    Drie dagen / 72 uurs-principe

    Het belangrijkste uitgangspunt bij het bepalen van de inhoud van het Blackout Pack is dat in het geval van een ramp de overheid ongeveer drie dagen nodig heeft om de minimale voorzieningen, zoals de gas-, water- en electriciteitsvoorziening, weer op gang te brengen. Het Blackout Pack moet je door die periode van 72 uur heen helpen.

    Een belangrijk onderdeel in het Blackout Pack is de informatievoorziening. Met de noodradio uit het Blackout Pack blijf je op de hoogte van het nieuws, zelfs als de stroom uitgevallen is.
