Hierdoor zijn de bekers 100% biologisch afbreekbaar. Suikerriet(pulp) is een natuurlijk afvalproduct en wordt daarom ook wel Bagasse genoemd, afgeleid van het Spaanse woord voor afval.

Suikerriet(pulp) is een natuurlijk afvalproduct en wordt daarom ook wel Bagasse genoemd, afgeleid van het Spaanse woord voor afval. Producten van suikerriet, worden gemaakt van de pulp die overblijft nadat het sap van het riet gescheiden is. Met behulp van warmte en druk wordt de pulp samengeperst en gevormd tot de disposables die je bij ons in de virtuele schappen ziet. Omdat er gebruik word gemaakt van deze vezels hoeven er geen bomen omgekapt te worden.

Je kan deze biologische koffiebekers vanzelfsprekend ook gebruiken voor andere warme dranken, zoals warme chocolademelk of thee. Dankzij de uitstekende materialen, ben je bovendien ook goed beschermd tegen de warmte die van de warme drank af komt. Je hoeft dan ook niet bang te zijn dat je de vingers brandt.

HET BESTE VOOR HET MILIEU

Gemiddeld gebruikt men twee tot vijf nieuwe kartonnen koffiebekers per dag. Dat is een grote last voor het milieu wanneer deze koffiebekers niet milieuvriendelijk zijn.
