Dit is een werk van de kunstenaar Ad Snijders. Het betreft een werk in gemengde techniek op papier, waarbij materialen zoals potlood, krijt, inkt en verf worden gecombineerd. Het werk is uitgevoerd in een abstract-expressionistische stijl, gekenmerkt door dynamische lijnen.

Ad Snijders (1929 – 2010) was een Eindhovense kunstenaar, tekenaar, collagist en beeldhouder. Op zijn twaalfde begon hij met tekenen en eigenlijk is hij daar nooit meer mee gestopt. Zijn stijl kan het best omschreven worden als expressionistische, figuratieve kunst. 

Als kunstenaar is Ad Snijders autodidact. Dit kwam met name, omdat hij na de lagere school direct aan het werk moest. Hij begon als leerling-zetter bij een drukkerij, maar bleef in zijn vrijetijd altijd tekenen. Dit zorgde ervoor dat hij in 1947 op achttienjarige leeftijd toetrad tot Kunstkring de Kempen, als een van de jongste leden. Op latere leeftijd kreeg hij alsnog de kans om te gaan studeren. Dankzij de Franse overheid ontvangt hij een beurs om in 1961 en 1962 onderwijs te volgen aan de Académie de la Grande Chaumiére in Parijs.
