6g Citrulline, 200mg Caffeine, Straight-Up Everyday Energy

Bucked Up Original is a solid, middle-of-the-road stim pre-workout that keeps things simple: it gives you enough nitric oxide boost to really feel it in your session, enough caffeine to amp up your energy and focus, and some quality support ingredients to make everything feel sharper without risking a wild stim overload. It's not chasing max stims, and it's not just about pumps. It's built for everyday use: real energy, dependable pumps, and workouts that just feel better right from the start.

The star here is 6,000mg of citrulline malate. Citrulline turns into arginine in your kidneys better than taking arginine straight, which pumps up nitric oxide and opens up blood vessels. That means more blood rushing to your muscles, a killer pump, and better oxygen and nutrient delivery while you're lifting. Studies show 6g is a good starting point for citrulline malate, so this hits the lower end of what works instead of skimping with 3-4g like some labels do.

You've got 2,000mg of beta-alanine. This stuff is the building block for carnosine, which acts like a buffer in your muscles to handle the acid buildup from tough sets. It's best for high-intensity stuff that lasts 1-10 minutes. The science is solid, but doses usually run 3,200-6,400mg daily for the best results. So 2g helps, but it's under that ideal loading amount. You'll probably feel the tingle right away, but the real fatigue-fighting perks build up with steady use.

Energy comes from 200mg caffeine anhydrous, a smart pick for most folks who train regularly. It's enough to wake you up, make reps feel easier, and keep you pushing without sending you into jitter city.

Bucked Up Pre Workout by Bucked Up contains 100mcg Vitamin B12, a effective dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 6,000mg Citrulline Malate — this is the heavy hitter for performance, and it's a real dose backed by studies for boosting nitric oxide. It ramps up arginine levels better than arginine alone, giving you wider blood vessels, bigger pumps, and better flow during your lifts.
  • 200mg Caffeine Anhydrous — just the right kick to sharpen your alertness, motivation, and how hard reps feel, without turning your workout into a shaky mess. For a lot of people, this is the Goldilocks zone where training feels pumped up, not nuts.
  • Fully disclosed label — everything's listed out with exact doses, no sneaky prop blends hiding behind cool names. That's huge because you can compare it to real research and know what you're actually putting in your body.
  • Balanced everyday vibe — this one's made for regular use, not just those rare high-energy days. The chill caffeine amount and simple setup make it easy to slot into your weekly routine without drama.
  • 2,000mg Beta-Alanine — not the full-on loading dose from studies, but still a decent amount for building carnosine over time. It helps your muscles fight off that burning fatigue during back-to-back tough sets.
  • AlphaSize® Alpha-GPC at 200mg — a branded choline booster to help with brain chemicals like acetylcholine, ramping up your focus and drive. It's a supporting dose, not maxed out, but the quality brand shows they're serious.
  • Creatine-free by design — perfect if you want to handle your creatine on your own. Pair it with a straight 3-5g creatine monohydrate scoop instead of dealing with tiny, weak amounts tossed into other pre-workouts.
  • AstraGin® for better absorption — this branded plant mix helps your gut take in aminos and nutrients better by boosting transporters. At 25mg it's under the usual 50mg, but it's there to make the whole formula work more efficiently.

Who Is This For?

  • Intermediate lifters on push/pull/legs or upper/lower who want real pumps and smooth sessions without massive stims. The 6g citrulline malate delivers blood flow, and 200mg caffeine sharpens without taking over.
  • Early morning crew needing a quick mental boost before the day but skipping the anxiety from heavy pres. This moderate caffeine fits real life, especially if you grab coffee later.
  • Folks stepping up from basic stuff to something research-backed and open-book. Full disclosure means no blends, so you learn what works for you without the mystery.
  • Pump chasers in hypertrophy who prioritize feel over rage. Citrulline malate fills muscles during long workouts, AlphaSize® adds focus for better connections.
  • Athletes in team sports or on the field wanting pre-practice energy without going overboard. 200mg caffeine works for weekly use, beta-alanine builds buffer for repeats.
  • Stack builders who like creatine-free pres. Add your own 5g monohydrate without dealing with hidden weak doses.

How to Use

Mix 1 scoop in 10-16 ounces of cold water and drink it 20-30 minutes before training. That gives caffeine anhydrous time to boost alertness and readiness while citrulline malate gets going for your working sets. If stims hit you hard, try half a scoop first since 200mg is solid but can be a lot for newbies. Shaker's best for full mix, and cold water makes it taste better. It hits cleanest on an empty or light stomach; big meals can slow the caffeine and dull the edge. For long or carb-heavy sessions, add some pre-workout carbs to fuel up alongside the energy and pumps. Stacks great with straight creatine monohydrate, intra electrolytes or carbs, and post protein. Don't pile on other caffeinated stuff like burners or brain boosters. No need to cycle off, but low-stim days help keep your response fresh. Keep it cool and dry with the lid on tight for fresh powder.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: you down it, your stomach stays chill since it's not loaded with extras, and you start feeling ready more than slammed. Minutes 10-20: caffeine ramps up alertness, and some get light beta-alanine tingles, especially if your stomach's empty. Minutes 20-40: prime time, with 200mg caffeine sharpening your game and 6g citrulline malate delivering better flow, easier warm-ups, and fuller muscles. Minutes 40-90: energy holds steady and useful, not hype, with pumps and workout quality keeping things going strong. Days 1-7: effects are mostly right-now from caffeine and citrulline, while beta-alanine's building slowly. Weeks 2-4: steady scoops make beta-alanine shine more, though at 2g it's a slower build than higher doses.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Bucked Up Original Pre Workout?

Each 1-scoop serving provides 200mg of caffeine anhydrous. That puts it firmly in the moderate-stim category: strong enough for a noticeable pre-workout effect, but much easier to manage than the 300-400mg doses found in more aggressive formulas.

Is the 6g citrulline malate dose actually effective?

Yes. 6,000mg citrulline malate sits at the low end of the commonly effective pre-workout range used to support nitric oxide production, vasodilation, and pump. It is one of the formula's strongest evidence-based features and a clear step above the token doses seen in many mainstream products.

Is the beta-alanine dose clinically dosed?

Not fully. Bucked Up provides 2,000mg beta-alanine per serving, while the most established research range is 3,200-6,400mg daily. You may still feel the tingling and gain some cumulative benefit over time, but it is below the best-studied loading dose.

What does AlphaSize® do in this formula?

AlphaSize® is a branded alpha-GPC ingredient that supplies choline, which the body uses to make acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in focus and muscle contraction. At 200mg, it acts as a support-level focus ingredient rather than a heavy nootropic driver.

Can I stack Bucked Up Original with creatine?

Yes, and it is actually one of the smartest ways to use this formula. Because Bucked Up Original is creatine-free, you can add a full 3-5g dose of standalone creatine monohydrate without relying on the underdosed creatine amounts common in many all-in-one pre-workouts.

How long before training should I take it?

Take 1 scoop about 20-30 minutes before training. That window gives caffeine anhydrous time to come online and positions the citrulline malate to support blood flow as your session ramps up.

Will this make me tingle?

Possibly. The formula contains 2,000mg beta-alanine, which can cause a harmless tingling sensation called paresthesia, especially when taken quickly or on an empty stomach. Some users enjoy it as part of the pre-workout feel, while others notice it less over time.

Is Bucked Up Original good for beginners?

It can be, provided beginners respect the caffeine. The formula is transparent, moderate in stimulant strength, and built around understandable ingredients, but new users should still start with half a scoop to assess tolerance.

Does this contain proprietary blends?

No. Every active ingredient is disclosed with its exact dose on the label. That makes it much easier to compare the formula honestly against clinical research and competing products.

Is this more of a pump pre-workout or an energy pre-workout?

It is a balanced moderate-stim pre-workout with a clear pump backbone. The 6g citrulline malate gives it legitimate blood-flow support, while the 200mg caffeine ensures the session still feels energized and driven.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
This was a very captivating book once you got into it thoroughly. But the third person perspective was a bit hard to get used to. But as you got into it and followed the different characters, it was interesting and filled with intrigue, conflict and forbidden love. I can’t wait to read the next one and to complete the series.

Right from the start, I was drawn in by the prologue!!!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Queen of Roses (Blood of a Fae #1) by Briar Boleyn Genre General Fiction ( Adult), Romance, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Dark Romance “More primordial than the stars. My name was on his lips as he promised unspeakable darkness to any who came between us.” Right from the start, I was drawn in by the prologue!!! I’m a big fan of “touch her, and you die” vibes, but I mean, what’s also not to love about a unique Arthurian retelling with gender twists, a treacherous royal court, a dangerous quest, magical Fae & mystical monsters, entwined with a bit of spice! Morgan, Princess of Pendrath and true heir to the throne has spent most of her life dimming her light to feel safe and to make others comfortable. She is treated as an outcast in the court and repressed by her family due to the blood of the Fae within her and forced to join the Temple of the Three as a priestess in training to one day replace Merlin. Her brother, King Arthur, who reminds me of Joffrey from Game of Thrones, later tells her that he has other plans and offers her a choice of the Temple or to marry her off for political gain, unless… that is, she can journey through the great unknown and return with a long-lost fae weapon with enchanted powers known as Excalibur. Her quest begins with a roguish crew that includes the mysterious, arrogant, and heart-tuggingly handsome Captain of the Royal Guard, Kairos Draven, whom she can’t decide if she wants to stab or indulge in pleasure with. Along the way are plenty of surprises, mystical creatures, and betrayal, all while Morgan uncovers more of the truth about herself and who she can trust. This book had intriguing storylines and lovable characters that kept me turning pages and wanting more. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds and comes together in book 2, Court of Claws, which I just started reading!! Read if you’re into- Dark Fantasy/Romance Slow–Burn Question Everything Magic and Action Fae Arthurian Legend Stabby/Broken FFC Morally Gray MMC Forced Proximity Queen of Roses is perfect for Holly Black, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Sarah J. Maas fans. Please check the trigger warnings page in the table of contents before reading this book.

3.5 stars, A little boring to say the least.
Format: Kindle
Wow so I'm not sure where to begin on this one. This was a very different take on the legend of Arthur and Excalibur. This is told from the point of view of Morgan the sister of Arthur. Honestly the first 50% of this book is world building and character building which unfortunately was super boring for me. Morgan to me was a female MC that had a hard time in believing in herself. Sometimes taking too long to understand exactly what was going on around her. Draven was also a different male MC, like I couldn't put my finger on him and what he was all about. It was not until the last 10% of the book did we get some answers on the mystery that is Draven. The other 50% of the book centered around this big journey with everyone having a different motive. We see a spark of magic around this time that had me excited but then we never expanded upon that and what it could mean for the female MC. I feel like I want to read the second book just to see where this goes, but the spice was probably a 2 out of 5. Side characters are ok, Lancelet was fun but I almost felt like I wanted more.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
