SEQURE SI012 Soldering Iron Body (Host)

Please note:  This item is is just the replacement body should you need a spare one or replacement.

So you’ve cooked your old FPV soldering iron, snapped a tip mid-build, or just want a cleaner portable soldering iron setup. Enter the SI012 soldering iron body—a lightweight, modular smart soldering iron handle built for drone soldering, SMD rework, and anyone tired of fighting dodgy irons. It supports T12 tips, TS tips, and SI series tips, runs off PD3.0 / QC power, and gives you actual control via a crisp OLED display. Yes, it’s just the “host”—because sometimes you don’t need another tip, you need competence. We’ve spent 10+ years shipping FPV gear, and trust us: most soldering problems aren’t skill issues… they’re tool issues.

Key Highlights

  • Universal Tip Support: Compatible with T12, TS, and SI series tips for maximum flexibility.
  • Smart OLED Control: 128×32 screen with adjustable temperature from 50°C to 450°C.
  • Flexible Power Input: Supports PD3.0, QC2.0, DC5525 (9V–25V), and 3S–6S battery setups.

Why You Want It

This is the part you actually hold—the brains and backbone of your iron. If your current setup feels like soldering with a heated brick, the SI012 host fixes that. Lightweight, fast-heating, and properly configurable, it lets you dial temps for delicate SMD work or crank it up for XT60 joints without guessing. The sleep mode saves your tips (and your wallet), while the adjustable screen stops you twisting your wrist like a pretzel mid-build. It’s not glamorous—but neither is redoing cold joints at 2am before a race.

FAQ

Does this include a soldering tip?

No. This is the host/handle only. Bring your own T12, TS, or SI tip—or keep pretending your missing tip is “on order.”

What power source should I use?

Anything from USB-C PD to a 3S–6S LiPo works. For proper performance, use a stable PD3.0 supply or a capable battery setup.

Is this good for FPV drone builds?

Yes. It’s designed for FPV soldering, SMD repairs, and general electronics work where precision and portability matter.

Can I use this as a replacement for my existing SI012?

Exactly. If your original handle gave up (RIP), this is the direct replacement core unit.

What’s in the Box*

  • 1× SI012 Soldering Iron Host (Handle)

Soldering Iron tip, cables etc are sold separately, this is just the replacement body should you need a spare one or replacement.

Disclaimer

Accessories may vary slightly, but the actual soldering iron brain you paid for is always in the box.

Still Here?

Congrats—you read a listing for a soldering iron handle. If you’re serious about a portable FPV soldering iron setup with PD power, grab one now… or enjoy fixing cold joints forever.

Great introduction to Godot 4
Format: Kindle
I've been writing various types of software for 10 years and was interested in learning Godot for 2D games. This book turned out to be informative and easy to follow and gave me the knowledge I was seeking. I learn best by example, and this project focused book was excellent in that regard. If you have zero programming experience, I would recommend learning something like Python before diving into this book. The book teaches with GDScript, which is Godot's Python-like programming language. There are some minor mistakes in the book, but an errata is currently being kept up-to-date on the github repository for the book. I opened a few issues for things I discovered, and the author added those things to the errata. Keep this in mind if you end up getting stuck on something and are 100% sure you followed the directions in the book. I use Unreal for 3D games, so I have not yet gone through the chapters of this book for 3D games. I wouldn't expect a drastic drop in quality, but for the purposes of this review I can't give any insight on the 3D chapters.

A very frustrating experience
Format: Paperback
I very rarely write reviews for things, but I felt compelled to do so for this book based on my experience. I had an amazing experience with this book for the first 3 chapters. There were some errors and things just plain missing in those chapters, but I was able to debug and provide solutions for those things. For example, some lines of code were omitted and score keeping was completely left out from Chapter 3. I have since found that errata is helpfully published on the GitHub repository. Overall I had a lot of fun working through the first 3 chapters. Chapter 4 is where I decided to give up and move on to other resources. I found the lack of guidance on level design and truly understanding and using tile maps and tile sets downright frustrating. Perhaps this chapter would be more approachable if I had prior game development experience. The author very much glosses over level design and it went from a poor explanation of the concept to just "now design your level". Referencing the finished project from the GitHub repository did not provide much assistance either. If you are new to game development, I think the first 3 chapters are a helpful introduction and they have definitely furthered my interest in both Godot and game development. However, I had to bail after Chapter 4 in search of better material. Perhaps I will return to the book after learning more from other resources.
