Handle by the Brim: Never pinch the crown; oils from your fingers can stain the felt and cause cracking.

Brush Counter-Clockwise: Use a soft horsehair brush to maintain the finish. Use a dedicated brush for Black felt.

Dry Naturally: If wet, flip the sweatband out and air dry. Keep away from heaters to prevent the leather from shrinking.
