Building on the thrilling legacy of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the Valkyrie Spider promises an even more intense experience, shaped by the unbeatable sensory stimulus that comes with roof-off driving in one of the world’s most extreme hypercars. The latest addition to the Valkyrie family is the result of a unique Innovation Partnership between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing, and is an unprecedented fusion of form and function: a car engineered to be entirely useable and enjoyable as a road car, but with the capability to perform like no road car before it on a racetrack. Its uncompromising style reflects its revolutionary nature, while possessing the form and beauty that makes it unmistakably an Aston Martin. To achieve this blend of open-top luxury, Aston Martin developed unique engineering solutions to ensure the core experience remains true to the original Valkyrie programme.

Name

Originally codenamed AM-RB 001, the hypercar’s name continues a tradition of Aston Martin ‘V’ cars that started over seven decades ago: Vantage, Virage, Vanquish, Vulcan and now, the Valkyrie. Aston Martin decreed a machine so radical and uncompromising demanded an equally remarkable name; the connotations of power and honour, of being chosen by the Gods are so evocative, and so pertinent to a car that only a fortunate few will ever experience. But, while its Valkyrie moniker is rooted in ancient mythology, the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is a pure expression of modern technology.

Form and Dynamics

Built around a lightweight carbon fibre structure, the Valkyrie Coupe boasts truly radical aerodynamics for unprecedented levels of downforce in a road-legal car. The Valkyrie Spider receives revisions to that carbon fibre structure, plus precise recalibration of both the active aerodynamic and active chassis systems, all with an eye to maintaining optimal Valkyrie performance when driven in a roof-off condition. Key to Valkyrie Spider’s unprecedented performance is the ultra-lightweight construction and high downforce aerodynamics package. The upper body surfaces of the teardrop-shaped cockpit and lower tub contours follow the envelope of space available between the huge full-length Venturi tunnels that run either side of the cockpit floor. Drawing huge quantities of air beneath the car to feed the rear diffuser, these tunnels are the key to generating Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider’s extraordinary levels of downforce, 1400kg at 240km/h in track mode, while keeping the upper body surfaces free from additional aerodynamic devices that would spoil the purity of the open-top styling. By following the same exacting Valkyrie ethos, and with just a marginal weight difference to the Coupe, the Valkyrie Spider remains a quintessential package of efficient and lightweight solutions. Capable of achieving a vMAX of 330km/h+ with the roof removed (350km/h+ with roof on), it’s the fastest and most extreme open-top, road-legal Aston Martin ever built.

Powertrain

At the heart of the Valkyrie’s powertrain is its 65° naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine. Developed in conjunction with longtime technical partner Cosworth, the V12 evokes the spine-tingling, ultra-high-revving Formula 1 engines of the 1990s, and benefits from two full decades of progress in design, material and manufacturing expertise, setting exceptional new standards for maximum rpm and weight. With a certified peak power output of 1,000bhp (or 153.8 bhp-per-litre) at 10,500rpm, it can continue to a maximum 11,100rpm, unprecedented figures for a naturally aspirated, emissions-compliant road car. Peak torque is 740Nm at 7,000rpm. These peak outputs are purely delivered by the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), with a further performance boost delivered by the battery hybrid system. A KERS-style boost system akin to those fitted to Formula 1 cars, the Aston Martin Valkyrie’s hybrid system has been developed by two main technical partners: Integral Powertrain Ltd, who supplied the bespoke electric motor, and Rimac for the lightweight hybrid battery system. As a result, the full hybrid system contributes an additional 160bhp of power and a further 280Nm of available torque with the certified max power output of Aston Martin Valkyrie standing at a stunning 1,160bhp at 10,500rpm. Equally, with the full hybrid system, peak torque will stand at 900Nm at 6,000rpm.

Production

Continuing the on-going Innovation Partnership, the task of engineering the Valkyrie will be shared between Q by Aston Martin Advanced and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, with production taking place at Aston Martin’s state-of-the-art, purpose-built headquarters in Gaydon. Following unprecedented demand, all 85 examples of the Valkyrie Spider sold out in advance, with the first models delivered in 2022.

This fine 1:8 scale model of the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider has been handcrafted and finished in our workshops using confidential CAD data supplied by the team at Aston Martin allowing us to perfectly recreate every detail at scale. Furthermore, it has undergone detailed scrutiny by both engineering and design teams to ensure complete accuracy of representation.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is limited to just 199 pieces.

OMG I finally found the one
Color: White, Size: Standard
I use to have a pillow that I took it everywhere. It finally was gone I couldn’t find one that I had. So my quest for the perfect pillow was 17 different pillows. I finally found the one!!! This pillow is soft but is sturdy. My head lays on the pillow and doesn’t fall to the bed. My neck isn’t tilted in an awkward position. The coolness of the pillow is amazing. This pillow is everything I was looking for. The price is 100% worth it. Edit ok I still love the pillow but you have to flip it because all the stuffing moves to the other side. The pillow still has enough that it was still comfortable. I wish that the stuffing would stay in the same pot.

Nice Pillow
Color: White, Size: King
I waited a few weeks before writing this review. It’s very difficult to find Info on this pillow but here’s my take on it. Height: It’s a nice height on the pillow. It has a 2” gusset which upon my research is a way to keep the inside foam and down at least 2” high. Types of sleeping: I find this pillow to be comfortable in all sleep positions. I do find that because it’s not full foam that you don’t get that full compression feeling so back sleep is not as comfortable to me as other pillows I’ve used but still very comfortable Back: Has enough height that my neck is supported. It’s not full foam so you will have to adjust your head position so it fits perfectly into the curve of the pillow for best support. Side: Thick enough that the compatibility with my mattress sink allows my body to be comfortably aligned. I have a medium hybrid tempurpedic luxe breeze. Stomach: Just barely thick enough to be comfortable. I sleep somewhat weird and like my arm to go under the pillow. This gives me the correct height for stomach sleeping if I put my head on the bottom part of the pillow. This also allows me to breathe lol. Cooling This pillow has awesome cooling. Even when I wake up the pillow is still ice cold. Never had this feeling before and I’m a hot sleeper so i really like this. Granted I do set my house temperature to like 73 to sleep. The sensor is right next to my bed so it’s a true 73. Material This has foam outer layers and a fiber fill. It really does feel unique and it’s comfy. It’s a decently heavy pillow too in king so that gives confidence there is good quality foam and materials in it. One thing to know, the cover is “slippery” and it took some getting used to, even though I use a pillow case I can feel it slides in the case more than other pillows. I think it’s because the cover is very thing to promote airflow and heat transfer. I wish it was adjustable for the price. Price I like the pillow, and got mine on sale. But I do think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is. Evidently the sale price I got wasn’t a good price and it’s gone as much as 20% off. Oh well.

Great Cooling, But Lacking Support
Color: White, Size: Standard
I have to agree with some of the other reviews—this pillow just doesn't offer enough support. It initially feels plush and inviting, but after a minute or so, your head sinks too far and ends up pressing against the underlying latex, which has a rubbery, somewhat uncomfortable feel. It might be an excellent fit for those with smaller frames, but for me, it fell short in terms of proper neck and head support. On the plus side, the cooling aspect is impressive. It's cool to the touch and noticeably more breathable than many pillows I've tried. I've seen some complaints about it not staying cool all night, but honestly, no pillow really does. Casper's claim of "12 hours of cooling" seems like marketing optimism—your body heat will eventually warm up any pillow, no matter how well-designed. That’s just basic thermodynamics. All in all, it's a well-made pillow with excellent cooling performance. If you have a smaller frame, this could be a great choice. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for my needs.

Is this a joke?
Color: White, Size: King
I don't usually write reviews, but I have to for this pillow. The pillow measures 16" x 32", not 18" x 34" as stated in the description. That's not really a big deal, but they should have the correct size in the description. The problem with this pillow is the total lack of support. My head falls through this pillow within a half hour of laying my head on it. This causes me neck pain and I have to switch to my old pillow in the middle of the night. I'm a bigger dude that's 6'3" and I only sleep on my side. I thought this pillow would be great based on the other reviews that stated it works for side sleepers. I would describe this pillow as a greatly overpriced marshmallow. The pillow does have some decent cooling properties, but they don't last all night as described. This pillow would probably work great for someone who sleeps on their stomach. I wouldn't recommend this pillow to a bigger dude that's a side sleeper. Note: I did find a great Casper pillow that works for me. I bought the Casper Sleep Essential Cooling Foam pillow on Amazon. It's the one that's all foam with a phase change layer to help with cooling. The pillow has great support and it doesn't cause me any neck pain. The best part is the price, it cost less than half the price of the Hybrid Snow Pillow. I hope this review helps someone.
