Installation Notes

Plan a half-day for the install. Disconnect the main negative cable from the existing battery pack before doing anything else. Remove the lead-acid bank, vacuum and inspect the battery tray for acid corrosion (replace any pitted hardware), and verify the OEM EZGO TXT tray matches the new lithium tray's mounting pattern. Land the new charge port using the locking-quick-connect harness so the cart will not energize the controller while plugged in. Wire the DC-DC converter directly to the battery's main B+ and B-, not downstream of the solenoid, so 12V accessories work even when the key is off. Once everything is bolted down, plug the CAN gauge into the charger harness and verify a clean SOC reading at rest before first drive.
