A beautiful and sentimental jewel. This 1900‘s locket is enchanting and full of history. A beautiful pendant that can hold a momento or photograph.A circular locket the front have been simply engraved by hand with the name ‘Joe‘. The love can still be felt that has gone into this piece and the fact it is as beautiful today as it was over 120 years ago is testiment to this.
The locket itself is created from 9 carat gold front and back with a base metal construction within. The mechanism is working well and secure holding within currently a photograph of ‘Joe‘ as well as a locket of his hair. This is most likely a sentimental lover‘s pendant worn by someone who dearly loved him.
Whether you want to personalise with a special token or image, or be worn as it is, this is a most remarkable jewel steeped in history.

ERA: Victorian Era or very early 1900‘s
HALLMARKS: unhallmarked but tested as minimum 9 carat with base metal fittings and inside
DIMENSIONS: 25mm without loop
WEIGHT: 5.33 grams approximately.
CONDITION: excellent antique condition and ready to wear and be loved. There is the expected wear and knocks to the gold as expected.

A great read for those who want in depth knowledge about MS Active Directory & related services

Reviewer: 20 yrs training and consulting experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, all major hypervisors, and cloud services. Active Directory along with all the related services and features are complex and many faceted topics. Books showing step by step examples are easy to come by, although not very useful since there’s plenty of Microsoft online help with the same info. What’s more important is to understand the features and related services and how to use them properly and securely.
This book covers in great detail Active Directory and the related services and features. There’s also plenty of information and expertise from a security perspective. With the move to cloud services and more employees are working from home there’s a whole new level of security issues to contend with. This book contains lots of in-depth explanations that allow you to understand why certain features and services exist and how to use them. This extra depth and the author’s experience is what makes this book special.
I would recommend this book for IT Professionals that already have some AD knowledge and experience. My only qualification is that I occasionally found some of the explanations confusing even after reading them over a several times.
I would highly recommend this book for those who wish to understand, configure and design an AD infrastructure along with associated services including OU design, group policy, object management delegation, ADFS, Certificate Services, etc. Although the book is not about Azure AD it does cover some aspects including integrating with on-prem AD.

Detailed coverage of Active Directory
Format: Kindle
I spent several years very close to active directory but haven’t followed developments in recent years. I was interested in this book as a refresher on what’s new in the last 8-10 years – and it did not disappoint.
The chapter on Advanced AD Management with PowerShell does a great job providing some background, setting the stage for why we’d want to know this, and providing some brief descriptions of various cmdlets that might be needed. My last experience with PowerShell/Active Directory required the Quest module, so seeing these native cmdlets is a nice change.
The chapter on AD FS is very detailed, providing a history of the functionality, deployment topologies and considerations, as well as details on configuring the required components. This is a topic I was not familiar with before seeing this book, and it did a good job bringing me up to speed on the feature.
I have not made it all the way through this book, but the sections I have completed are very good. If you are looking for a thorough reference guide on the current state of Active Directory, you should check out this book.

The book for designing and deploying Active Directory in your Organization
Format: Paperback
If you purchased an earlier release of this book and was wondering if this one is worth getting, the answer is yes!! The biggest change is this edition thoroughly covers the latest and greatest, Windows Server 2022. It walks through security issues, the differences between this and previous versions of Windows Server and how to design and deploy a functional and secure Server 2022 Active Directory. I enjoyed reading through this book and highly recommend it!

Realistic book of el Camino de Santiago
Format: Paperback
This is the most realistic and informative book I've read about el Camino de Santiago, (and I've read no less than 10 in my preparation to walk el Camino). It is beautifully written, inspirational, humble and encouraging. The reality of the albergues or refugios hit me, so I decided to book in private albergues or pensiones in advance. Thank you Joyce for opening our eyes about the hard parts of the Camino, but also of all the beauty and the transformative experience. I hope to savor some of what you and Tome did (minus the albergues), and to learn to appreciate every little thing that we take it for granted. Beautiful book! A must read for all who wants to walk The Way.
