HELIX IK S8

Flat dimensions – deep bass

With the shallow HELIX IK S subwoofers, the realization of particularly flat and compact enclosure designs shouldn’t be a problem anymore. Its extremely low installation depth opens up new installation possibilities that do not require making any acoustic compromises at all. Additionally, thanks to the use of large voice coils and its low resonant frequency, the HELIX IK S series delivers an absolutely stunning bass performance, which is in no way inferior to larger dimensioned woofers.

Smart down to the very last detail

The enormously stiff sandwich paper cone in conjunction with our heavy-duty drive system easily converts amplifier power into powerful sound pressure without any compression effects, while simultaneously demonstrating finesse when it comes to more subtle beats. A special highlight: the magnet system has a threaded hole on the back and thus allows the woofer to be fixed to the back panel of the enclosure. Since every millimeter of depth counts in flat constructions, enclosure vibrations are effectively reduced – even with thin walls.

Flexible Connection

Designed as a 1 x 2 Ohms (SVC2) or 2 x 2 Ohms (DVC2) variant, you can find the right low bass specialist for any amplifier configuration to get the maximum performance out of it.

"All inclusive" for self-made enthusiasts

In addition to the high-quality connection terminal with gold-plated screw terminals, a solid protective grille and gasket are also included. For optimal bass performance in DIY installations you can find recommendations for sealed and vented enclosures with all parameters such as net volume, port tuning frequency or DSP settings in our technical data sheet.

Features

  • Chassis with particularly low installation depth – optimized for compact and shallow enclosure constructions
  • 2 x 2 Ohms dual voice coil for flexible system configuration
  • Magnet system with threaded hole on the back – allows screwing to the back panel of the enclosure for stabilization and reduction of enclosure vibrations
  • Extremely stiff sandwich paper cone
  • Long-excursion rubber surround for highest mechanical rating
  • Rugged magnet cover with HELIX lettering for perfect magnet protection
  • Enclosure connection terminal, grille and gasket included in delivery

Creativity which has the power to change the world
A few caveats to those who are generally interested in creativity studies: Csikszentmihalyi's analysis and discussion of creativity does not directly relate to those who are personally creative. People who enjoy engaging in creative activities are not demoted, in his terms, but are simply not a part of the study. It is unfortunate that his language makes it seem this way; he distinguishes between the two by saying that Creativity has the power to shape a domain or the world, while creativity applies to those who enjoy coming up with new recipes, who are engaged in research that may not change a domain, but may "tweak" it, etc. What he is trying to discover are the underlying principles and traits of creativity in those whose work has made a significant change. Think Albert Einstein, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mark Strand: people who are either widely known for their influence, or who have been influential within their area or domain. This book provides an interesting view into the minds and work habits of Creative individuals, and concludes by offering general advice to those who wish to make their own lives and work more creative. It is a useful book, but one which requires a great deal of supplemental reading, in order to truly engage in creativity studies.

Fun easy to read way to see how the wealthy stay wealthy
Format: Paperback
Mark Quann’s Be Smart Pay Zero Taxes is an eye-opening, engaging, and highly informative guide that challenges everything most of us think we know about taxes, wealth, and the financial system. With his "Buy, Borrow, Die" strategy, Quann presents a bold new way to build and preserve wealth—legally and ethically—while minimizing tax liability. One of the things that really stands out about this book is how approachable and enjoyable it is to read. Quann has a knack for breaking down complex financial concepts into bite-sized, digestible pieces. Whether you're a finance newbie or have been managing your own portfolio for years, you'll find the material easy to grasp and even fun to read. The tone is conversational, and the author's humor and wit shine through, making the book a far cry from the dry, overly technical finance books out there. What I loved most was how Quann exposes the ways in which the banking industry and the government have duped ordinary people into believing we have no choice but to pay exorbitant taxes. He takes a deep dive into the financial system and reveals how the wealthiest individuals have been using clever strategies for years to legally avoid paying significant taxes. The “Buy, Borrow, Die” method isn’t just some gimmick; it’s a smart and effective way to sidestep the tax traps most of us fall into. Quann’s perspective will make you question everything from your investment strategies to the way you think about saving and building wealth. This book empowers you with a strategy that not only helps you protect your wealth but also ensures that you're making the most of what you've worked so hard for. By the end, you’ll realize that we’ve been sold a false narrative about taxes and money, and there’s a much smarter way to approach wealth-building. Overall, Be Smart Pay Zero Taxes is a must-read for anyone who wants to get ahead financially. It’s a wake-up call wrapped in a fun and easy-to-read package. If you're ready to take control of your financial future and start building wealth like the ultra-wealthy, this book is the perfect place to start. Highly recommended!

Not Just a Tax Book — A Wealth Blueprint
Format: Paperback
I picked up Be Smart Pay Zero Taxes because I wanted to learn how to be more strategic about building and protecting my money. This book completely changed how I think about wealth. The “Buy, Borrow, Die” strategy finally made sense to me. Instead of just earning more (and paying more taxes), it explains how owning appreciating assets and borrowing strategically can legally reduce your tax burden over time. What I loved most is that it didn’t feel overly technical or intimidating. The author explains things clearly in a way that made me stop and rethink my own financial plan. I found myself highlighting pages and re-reading sections because it challenged how I’ve always approached money. If you feel like the tax system is confusing or unfair, this book brings clarity. It’s not about avoiding taxes illegally — it’s about understanding the system and making smarter decisions within it. For me, this wasn’t just a finance book. It truly felt like a mindset shift. Highly recommend if you're serious about building long-term wealth.

4.5 Stars - Highly Recommend- Will Buy Copies for My Kids
Format: Paperback
I was torn between 4 and 5 stars, because this book is very good. The pay no taxes part of the book is a solid 5 stars. However, I was much more interested in the buy, borrow, die strategies. Those strategies are good, including a fairly thorough explanation and use cases. But there wasn't enough explanation of the long-term handling of the debt and the possibility of margin calls. If you leverage 50% of your portfolio and the market goes down 30 to 35%, which does happen, you can quickly get in trouble. Many of the current ETFs that pay high dividends haven't been around long enough to go through a 30 - 35% market drop, so it's difficult to accurately predict how they'll perform. Of course, if you don't overleverage, the chances of a margin call are much lower, even if the market tanks. Also, the book says to invest in assets you can borrow against, including stock, ETFs, real estate, crypto, and gold/silver. On the surface, this is a good strategy. While you can borrow against these things, borrowing against precious metals carries a higher interest rate (though I'm sure if you have tens of millions, you can find better rates, but most people don't have that much), and borrowing against crypto is dangerous. Hopefully crypto will become better protected, but right now, the company lending you money against your crypto can just run off with your crypto. It has happened. The reason I rated the book 4 stars instead of 5 is solely because I'm more interested in buy, borrow, die than the tax coverage. If I bought the book for the tax avoidance, it would be a 5. Overall, I highly recommend the book. I'm going to buy a copy for both of my children, who are in their 20's.
