Marantz CINEMA 50 - 9.4ch AV Receiver

Newly redesigned for 2022-23, Marantz has created a receiver that's as pleasing to look at as it is to listen to. A modern expression of timeless design principles, CINEMA 50 features the iconic Marantz porthole, symmetrical design, and front panel controls elegantly hidden from view

Marantz has long been one of our most popular A/V brands, and with good reason. The CINEMA 50 is packed with the latest immersive audio formats, 8K video, room optimization, streaming, and more technology to simplify and elevate your enjoyment

A fully immersive cinematic experience

The Cinema 50 has outputs for 11 speakers, and can power up to nine at the same time. Use all nine channels in a 5.2.4 or 7.2.2 Dolby Atmos or DTS:X® system. Or, go with a more conventional surround sound setup, and assign the extra amplifier channels for sound in another room.

Marantz has included four subwoofer outputs on its premium receivers this year. Your most bass-heavy music and rumbling movie soundtracks will have exciting new depth. Using multiple powered subs obviously gives you more bass, but also more balanced bass. Choose the "Standard" subwoofer setting for evenly distributed bass performance throughout the room, or "Directional" to tailor each sub's bass performance to the closest speaker.

The Cinema 50's high-powered amplifier can drive just about any speakers with real authority. It's rated at a significant 110 watts per channel (2-channels driven). If you have unused surround speaker connections, you can even bi-amp your front right and left speakers to further enhance the performance.

Advanced room calibration

Audyssey MultEQ® XT32 is one of the industry's best room-correction platforms. It measures the acoustics of your room with the included microphone, and then fine-tunes the output of your system to best match the unique sonic characteristics of your space.

Coming in 2023, you'll also have the option to purchase and download the Dirac Live® advanced speaker calibration program to your Mac® or PC, another state-of-the-art room correction system that can make your system sound its best.

Advanced video processing with latest HDMI specs

Marantz made sure the CINEMA 50 is compatible with the very latest video technology. All six HDMI inputs and two of three HDMI outputs support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video content (perfect for the latest generation games consoles) with plenty of spare inputs for other sources like Sky/Cable TV, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, Apple TV etc

Music in one room or many

CINEMA 50 makes it easy to stream music from your phone or tablet through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Apple AirPlay 2. With a built-in phono stage you can also plug in a turntable. You can even play high-resolution tracks from a USB drive or networked computer.

HEOS Built-in technology lets you access all kinds of different content through the Cinema 50. Listen to internet radio stations, or to popular subscription services like TIDAL and Spotify.

You can also integrate the Cinema 50 into a wireless multi-room audio system with other HEOS compatible speakers or streaming components.

4 star read - dark gothic romance
Format: Kindle
Master of Salt and Bones by Keri Lake 4 STAR READ “You’re my curse. Staying away from you, is like trying to hold my breath when the tide is rising.” This book reminds me a lot of Nightshade, also by Keri Lake, but without the fantasy element. It gives off the same gothic vibes, including flash backs, history of abuse, and sexual deviances. It also has some overlap with the older male character obsession that is seen in Nocticadia - though Lucien doesn’t hold a candle to Professor Bramwell. SUMMARY Lucien was abused, lied to, and manipulated his whole life, by everyone who should have protected and cared for him. A wealthy heir to a massive fortune, he is hard, dark, and delicious. The story unfolds across two timelines, jumping between Lucien’s past and present, and Isa’s POV. Lucien is viewed as the devil of Tempest Cove, covered in scars and rumors abound involving the death of his wife and son. Isa is the daughter of the town whore, who has struggle to fit in and cope with the tribulations of her life. Lucien hires Isa to be his mother’s companion, to keep her company and encourage her to get out of bed each day. As they continue to bump into each other and interact, their relationship develops beyond his dark obsession. Lucien is wary to get attached as his connection to a dangerous secret society puts everyone he cares about at risk, however there may be no way around Isa’s involvement. WHAT I LIKED and DISLIKED It was a great story full of tragedy and resilience. Both characters have deep back stories that unfold throughout the book, we get information at just the right time to make things make sense. It is really well told. It does feel a bit slow in the middle, I took a mid book break to read something else but came back to it and wondered why I stopped - the reason I gave 4 stars was because I had the need to take the break. Which tells me I lost interest during part of it. Lucien has so many layers and each one is full of sadness and devastation. Isa’s story is tragic in its own way, however her youth has her dealing with them in a difference way - she is definitely more detached in her own way. There is an age gap - Lucien is 33, Isa is 19 — I’m not usually a fan of this kind of age gap, but Isa isn’t childish or immature so it works. The book definitely gives Grumpy x sunshine vibes. The spice is well done and paced well throughout the book. If you like spicy, gothic, dark romance and have enjoyed other books by Keri Lake this book will not disappoint. There are references to rape, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and mental illness — I would check any triggers before reading

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.
