The polished production and shorter songs don’t take away from the rootsy feel, with tracks like “Willie and the Hand Jive,” “Motherless Children,” “I Shot the Sheriff,” and his own emotional song “Let It Grow.” Its laid-back vibe and strong blues base made it a model for Clapton’s later '70s albums, though he never quite matched its unique charm again.
