CBD stands for "Compliant Bore Design" which refers to the unique inner shape, layup and wall thickness of the carbon fiber which combine forces to build a comfortable and resilient handlebar. 

With geometry directly transferred from their popular Range Aluminum Handlebar, riders are sure to feel comfortable on the trails with 5° of upsweep and 10° of backsweep. PNW takes pride in using the "crème de la crème" of carbon fiber materials for ultra-smooth compliance to reduce hand and arm fatigue.
