The last of the "all-home-recordings albums" by The Mountain Goats and the only one about which that claim is true, All Hail West Texas was originally released as a free-standing compact disc on the late, lamented Emperor Jones. That was about a decade ago. The songs were originally transferred from the cassettes onto which they were recorded to 1/4" reels at Tiny Telephone by Alex Newport, who also played in Fudge Tunnel. John got really excited when he realized his tapes were being EQ'd by the guy from Fudge Tunnel. Remastered from those reels, along with 7 unearthed songs from the two surviving contemporaneous cassettes, All Hail West Texas stands as the peak of The Mountain Goats' home recording era, a time people like to refer to as "when John Darnielle had his four-track," except John did not actually use a four-track. He used the condenser mic of a Panasonic boombox and there was no overdubbing. All songs recorded on the day they were written, usually within minutes of the actual composition. Highlights include "Jenny," "Fall of the Star High School Running Back," and "The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton," a song which has compelled audiences around the globe to yell "Hail Satan," and to mean it. 1. My dog loves her Nubbies! My Dog chews her Nubbie every morning after she has her breakfast. She sometimes wants my husband or I to hold it for her while she chews on it. I think it is really good for her teeth and gums. These last a few months for our dog who chews it every morning. After a few months the edges get a little rough from all the chewing so I throw it out and replace with a new one. These are very reasonably priced, so I always have a fresh one ready to go. She gets very excited when we get a new one out of the package..

Very durable!

Great product! Dogs love it and very durable.
I had been buying the nylon bones in pack of 3, but my 2 dogs would chew them up in no time, and I was buying the aggressive chewer bones.
Bought 2 of these, dogs loved it, so I bought another one.
Have had these for about 2- 2 1/2 months and still holding up just fine.
And the price is great!
Would definitely recommend!

Great for chewing but very sharp and mangled in a few days

I thought this was a fantastic idea having baking soda added for fresh clean teeth while enjoying a new toy. I wanted to review 2 main things about this.
First, if my dog enjoyed this toy. That answer would be yes absolutely! She is chewing it as I’m writing this right now. She can spend a good amount of time chewing away on this and it keeps her busy without having to use a rawhide treat which we only try to use if we re going to be gone for longer then 4 hours. The kids love playing fetch with her and she stays engaged the whole time. It is very heavy and when being thrown can become a weapon so I always supervise!
Last, the durability of the toy. So it is durable but not completely. As you can see the toy got very sharp where she has been chewing it and I’ve even noticed a little blood on it which means it’s cutting her gums. It wasn’t a large enough amount for me to take it away. It is still almost the exact same size but maybe after a month I will re edit this for more accurate on durability since it’s only been about a week that she has gotten it.
Overall, I would recommend this toy it’s a great price and keeps her attention a lot more then other toys I spent twice the amount of money on!
