The legendary sludge band Torche has hit the restart button. The results? A heavier, focused version of the band. Restarter marks a killer new album in the band's discography, and the veterans are ardent about one thing: the pursuit of happiness. You're welcome to join them, vocalist Steve Brooks says, but they're going to pioneer their own trail. All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte talks with Editor David Stagg about the band's new album, the seventh in their collection, The Order of Things. After all these years and other flirting stints with bands like Killswitch Engage, Labonte has some quality advice to relay, starting with this: Write for yourself. The punk rockers in Bayside come out swinging, and it's with due reason. Managing Editor Collin Simula listens in as vocalist Anthony Renari speaks his mind about integrity in music, and why he's so pissed off at other de facto role models of the scene. One of the great performers in rock, RED has released Of Beauty and Rage..

Fun, but fragile
Format: Hardcover
This is a cool book, and my 2.5 year old son LOVES it. However it is important to note that it will be destroyed very quickly. There are lots of flaps and moving parts and it is very easy to accidentally rip them off if you try to move one in a way it's not meant for. I ripped more than 1 myself.

Great for training
Format: Hardcover
I order these for new salespeople and managers who have no construction experience. They think it's a joke until they start going through it.

The Darkness Creates Monsters
Format: Paperback
I really like this dark fantasy comic series. A long time ago, the world turned into darkness. The sun did not shine any more, and anybody who was in the dark for too long turned into a monster. Humans still survive. They drive around and live. The monsters are afraid of light. The artwork is really really good. Monsters and humans are drawn with excellent detail. You can actually see what's going on. The fight scenes are easy to understand. Can't wait to read Volume 2.

Excellent
Format: Paperback
This was one of my favorites. It has great world-building, great characters, an interesting worthy antagonist, and great art. The narrative flows naturally with a good mix of action and character development. We know who everyone is, what they're trying to accomplish, and what the stakes are. We're engaged with it never spins its wheels. I'm a reader, not a collector of singles, so I'm looking forward to vol 2.
