We’ve combined Prince Edward County, Gananoque, Kingston and the 1000 Islands – giving us the magic of 1001 Islands. The short getaway is the perfect dose and an all around boost in the arm of Canadiana. This is a ‘SMALLER GROUP TOUR’ and with a maximum of 30 travellers.
Day 1 We find ourselves in Prince Edward County just in time for wine-tasting and lunch with a view. A short hop, skip and jump over to Carson’s Garden Market where you will be welcomed by one of Canada’s TV gardening experts, Carson Arthur. His store caters to those who love gardening & outdoors. We’ll ferry to the mainland and continue along Lake Ontario to Kingston, stopping for dinner on your own before checking into our hotel. Gananoque is the heart of the Thousand Islands and our hotel is in the perfect location, within walking distance of downtown and the St. Lawrence River. Comfort Inn & Suites, Gananoque (L)
Day 2 This morning set sail on a sightseeing cruise of the Thousand Islands. You will have a free afternoon to explore on your own. This evening COME SEE an iconic Canadian musical. COME FROM AWAY is based on the real-life events following 9/11, when thousands of travellers were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland. It is a celebration of small-town kindness and the power of everyday people. (B)
Day 3 With so many visitors having a keen interest to see and understand the inner workings of the Kingston Penitentiary, we’ll take a voluntary tour. Once released for good behaviour, we’ll make our way home. (B)
