The Queen's Park Affair for the Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Roleplaying Game is still in shrinkwrap. The shrink has constricted a bit with age, creasing the cover and the side panels at the top and bottom. The wrap is clear, shiny, though the plastic has some tears and all but one of the box corners have slight wear. On the cover the darkish circular thing in the lower left is actually a gold colored sticker (We have no idea why our camera colored it so dark) promoting the $10,000 in prizes described on the back of the box. The sticker is scuffed and creased. An excellent opportunity to also pick up Adventures by Gaslight, The Mansion Murders, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, and Gumshoe (SHCD rules set in 1930s San Francisco) from the Sherlock Holmes section of our store!!

The excellent Extras include the tips for solving cases, written and video game reviews of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, suggestions on how to convert the game into a Gurps-like RPG experience, and some other hopefully useful odds and ends. Plus a game aid, to help keep track of map sites visited or not visited, 20 double-sided numbered counters\markers will be shipped with the game! Otherwise, some to all of Extras will be emailed once the game ships!

The Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Rules (SHCD) set is required to play the Queen's Park Affair. Later editions of the Queen's Park Affair added materials from SHCD, so it could be played without owning SHCD, but this edition DOES NOT have those materials.

The Newspaper Archive – a collection of dated newspapers which provide clues and information pertaining to the cases,

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective is an outstanding game that applies roleplaying to detective work. It has drawn raves from many quarters. The rules allow for solitaire, two player, or group play! Who hasn't wanted to be Mr. Holmes and\or match wits with the legendary detective of 221 B Baker Street? Extensively researched to create the feel of being in the world of Holmes! This truly would make a one-of-a-kind gift.

There are some reports of investigators beating Sherlock Holmes' Scores (!!!), but it might be more fun to go about the case in one's own way, than trying to make the deductive leaps it would take to score higher. By the way, Holmes' Scores are always 100. With bonus points allowed for some areas it is possible to score higher. The mysteries generally take 1 to 3 hours to solve.

Your high-energy dog will love it!
Why did I wait so long to get one of these?!? I am the stereotypical throws-like-a-girl person, and my dog really needs to have an option that forces her to run far and fast. This is it. I can get that ball half a soccer field away at a minimum if I want. The ball is super bouncy, which adds an element of fun to her attempts to tame it and bring it back. Super worth the money (which wasn't much!). I've never had one of these before, so can't compare to the non-folding version. This one is easy to carry and fits in a drawer for storrage. No way you can fit it in a pocket, especially if you have a phone in one and dog treats in the other.
