The DVA M225 monoblock power amplifier is a stunningly musical high-fidelity amplifier that is designed to accurately preserve all of the energy of a live listening experience.

The DVA M225 is a compact and powerful solid state amplifier. It's rated at 225 watts into 8 ohms and over 300 watts into 4 ohms. It is comfortably paired with any speaker 4 ohms and up, including speakers demanding a LOT of power.

The DVA M225's pure differential design let us create an amplifier that presents a life size image with stunning depth, dynamic range, definition, and transparency. There is an amazing faithfulness to the music, combined with accuracy that makes listing to music pure enjoyment. The sound stage is life size and so pure that you hear much more of the music in a way that will startle and please you.

The DVA M225 has a single XLR input, parallel 5-way gold plated speaker jacks, and external speaker fuses. The DVA M225 is designed to be used with a source providing XLR outputs, like our stunning DVA Digital Preamplifier. For use with RCA sources, you will need a separate active or transformer-based RCA to differential XLR converter like our R2X single-ended to differential converter.

The faceplate of the subtle yet stylish chassis is 10mm thick, clear anodized aluminum.

Audio Circuits

The DVA M225 incorporates our unique Single Ended Transistor (SET) voltage amplifier design. The amplifier consists of an amazingly effective transistor front end followed by a very fast and rugged power MOSFET current amplifier section. Bandwidth is flat from 3Hz to 100KHz.

In addition, the DVA M225 is a fully differential design, which means it cancels common mode noise and distortion for more accurate reproduction. It's a class AB amplifier but operates as class A at normal listening levels.

The combination of our electronic and mechanical design ideas allows the amplifier to run cooler, last longer, and be amazingly fault tolerant. The DVA M225 has four double-die MOSFET output transistors. There is plenty of power for any rational loudspeaker 4 ohms and up.

Power Supply and Layout

All of our SET power amplifiers, including the new DVA M225, have regulated power supplies for all areas of the amplifier, including the output transistors. The regulated power supplies provide unequaled bass control and micro dynamics.  In the DVA M225 there are no unregulated power supplies -- anywhere!

The DVA M225 operates with standard 120 Volt power, has an IEC power jack, and includes a polarized 120V power cord.

    Favorite DIY Sidekick

    Bought this for one task: grind away an interfering piece of metal in my door’s strike plate. I was unhappy about spending $20 on another DIY tool for one tiny specific purpose but to my pleasant surprise, I haven’t stopped using this dremel since. My only gripe is I have to be intentional about placement to get it to close but the cord and extension tool is so long and useful that it makes up for it. It’s a little bulky but comfortable to hold and I’ve been able to reach all the narrow corners and tight spaces I’ve needed. My next project is to cut away some protruding screw threads and my immediate thought was to reach for the WEN rotary. For the amount of value I’ve gotten out of it, this thing has paid for itself a few times already.
