The HM9 Hurricane Tie Kit provides a secure connection between trusses or rafters and masonry walls, designed to resist wind and seismic forces.

  • (20) HM9 connectors
  • (80) 1/4 in. x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws
  • (100) 1/4 in. x 2-1/4 in. Titen Turbo screws

Simpson Strong-Tie HM9KT Installation Overview

  1. Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines
  2. Attach using Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws and Titen Turbo screws
  3. Ensure Titen Turbo screws and Titen HD screw anchors are not exposed to the exterior environment
  4. Attach to grouted concrete block with a minimum one #5 rebar horizontal in the course
  5. Hurricane ties do not replace solid blocking
